The Global Data Synchronizer
Overview
The Global Data Synchronizer provides a cost effective method for Trading Partners to collect, update, harmonize, share, and monitor transactions and databases. This technology operates in a secured environment and can be customized to suit the needs of a Trading Partner group to:
  • establish a central global database;
  • post updates to databases in "Real-time";
  • share specific transaction files and data across the Trading Partner exchange.
How it Works
A client or desktop application establishes an Internet link between the workstation and the Global Data Synchronizer. When the database of the workstation is updated by the user of the client application's routine "Save" function, files are concurrently written to the Synchronized database. Every 10 minutes, updates to the Synchronized database are automatically forwarded to all authorized client applications across the Trading Partner exchange. The result is that all client applications are in sync throughout a continuous work-session.

Cost Elimination Overview
This is a single point of input service that:
  • eliminates redundant data entry;
  • eliminates paper flow;
  • reduces clerical costs and errors;
  • improves dataflow across the enterprise and supply chain;
  • reduces conventional EDI and other data transfer costs;
  • exchanges all transactions during the same network connection.
A link to applications
The Global Data Synchronizer is integrated into the EC Global Dynamics HOV System. In addition, it can be added as a "Bolt-on" to other third party applications.
