The Express option is designed for users who need to make revisions to the data elements prior to submitting the record for distribution.
Express works by providing an "intermediate" edit window to allow a user to review and change data that has been electronically captured.
Through the use of External Databases,
additional information can be stored and automatically retrieved and included in the information displayed on the Express edit screen. This prevents the
source documents from having to include all required
information. The accuracy of the data that is maintained in the external
databases is the responsibility of the individual parties, including
the Shipper, Importer of Record and/or the Customs Broker. EC Dynamics does not enter or provide the data.
Examples of information that might need to be changed after initial capture include Back Order information on Shipping documents, Price information on quotations, Delivery times, etc..
Once the data is complete, the information is submitted to the EC Dynamics web server. The resulting files can be
electronically distributed to authorized parties, in the formats and
file types required. In addition, the data can be imported into
internal systems and databases for in-house use.

In addition to Express, the EDI-Link Suite of solutions provides other methods of capturing and distributing data.
- Print Driver - An alternative to traditional printers. Automatically generates a PDF file of the forms being printed for form and/or data distribution.
- Connect - Supply the PDF files via email or web upload.
- Manual - A manual data entry system that uses a single input form to gather information, then generates forms and distributes data.
